The Burlington Medical Princess Vest is a female-contoured radiation-protection vest engineered with Burlington Medical’s patented Princess Seam design, a shaping technology that creates a convex, anatomically correct contour through the chest, axilla, lymph nodes, and front neck area. This innovation eliminates the fit issues common in unisex garments, reducing gapping, relieving pressure on the breasts, and delivering superior protection for sensitive tissues that are at higher risk for radiation-related harm, including breast and lymphatic structures.
By replacing angular unisex patterning with a truly female-specific shape, the vest improves mobility, comfort, and protective coverage. The tailored design reduces excess closure material, cuts overall weight, and balances load distribution across the shoulders and hips to help lower musculoskeletal strain during long procedures. A tether ring is included unless otherwise specified, and the vest may be paired with a skirt (sold separately) for wraparound coverage. Front protection is available in 0.25 mm, 0.35 mm, and 0.50 mm Pb equivalency.
