One Contract to Cover it All

We strive to be your go-to partner for lead garment needs.

Cleaning and Sanitization

All garments are cleaned and sanitized using a process aligned with CDC requirements. Your service contract will be tailored to your specific needs. We suggest quarterly cleanings for optimal results.

Complimentary Garment Repairs

We repair everyday wear-and-tear issues on your garments while they’re in-house for service.

X-ray Scanning

We will X-ray scan all garments annually to keep your team safe and compliant. The X-ray images we capture are documented for easy review in RADCOMPLY™.

Inventory Management

Our team will update your inventory in RADCOMPLY™ to track the servicing of your garments and access all your records for any survey or audit needs.

Garment Disposal

Our EPA-approved disposal program provides a quick, easy, and responsible option for retiring your garments. We simplify the process by helping with shipping labels, totes, boxes, and other needs.

New Garments

When new garments are purchased through RCS, they are asset tagged for the department, X-ray scanned and the data is loaded into RADCOMPLY™ before the new pieces arrive at your facility.

Additional Included Services

Loaner Garments

We provide loaner garments so your team isn’t without protection during service. Our temporary garments are cleaned, tagged, and X-ray scanned to ensure your staff is protected while we service your inventory.

Service Reporting

You will receive a service report after each service, which includes X-ray scans, repair data, and inventory information.

Unique Identifier Code

All garments will be tagged with unique identification codes. The codes will coordinate with RADCOMPLY™.

Common Questions

If you can’t find what you’re looking for, reach out to our customer support team.

Who is Radiological Care Services?

Radiological Care Services (RCS) is the only full-service solutions provider hospitals trust to properly clean, sanitize, X-ray, repair, and track the lead aprons that protect their staff every day. We tailor services based on your needs, the quantity of your X-ray garment inventory, and the frequency in which you need service.

Why can’t hospitals clean X-ray garments themselves?

Hospitals don’t have the time, staff, or space to properly service their inventories. Cleaning X-ray garments is not a simple process and, according to the AORN and the CDC, using sanitizing wipes alone will not adequately eliminate microorganisms on a dirty surface. We have worked closely with both organizations in developing our process and have carefully followed their recommendations to create best practices for cleaning X-ray garments.

How do I stay operational while my garments are being serviced?

RCS provides temporary loaner garments so there is no disruption in the continuum of care. Our temporary garments are cleaned, tagged, and X-ray scanned to ensure your staff is protected while we service your inventory.

What if my facility is not in Indiana?

We’ve got you covered. RCS supports facilities from New York to California and everywhere in between! We service customers with our dedicated shipping and operations team that provides RCS shipping totes and replacement garments.

How does a hospital know that RCS services are effective?

We let the numbers speak for themselves. RCS follows a rigorous multi-step quality assurance check on every garment to ensure it has been properly cleaned and is safe to wear. We provide our customers with before and after images including RLU results so they’re confident in the PPE they wear.

What are the fees for the services RCS provides?

RCS works in partnership with our customers to design a program that fits their needs and budget. We know getting budget approval for a new service is as difficult as ever. That is why RCS has designed a cost-avoidance program to not only clean and service your lead aprons, but also save your hospital money along the way.
